The pain specialist will first access your medical history and take any necessary x-rays to start the diagnostic process. You will then be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will provide the pain specialist with detailed information about your pain and the possible source of it. A comprehensive examination will be done and some additional lab tests may be performed. This is done in order to establish the most thorough and accurate diagnosis so that a customized program that will target your specific pain can be created.
